Administrative Assistant, School of Computer Science-2007774 Description: The School of Computer Science Dean's Office is searching for an Administrative Assistant who will be responsible for performing administrative tasks and duties, including confidential work, primarily supporting the Partnerships team and the Associate Dean for Advancement. We are looking for someone who has significant knowledge of the policies, procedures and organization of the school, as well as the ability to communicate with faculty, staff, and other associates both inside and outside of the university. Your responsibilities will include: Monitoring accounting statements and expenditures (highly confidential) using the Oracle system Producing updated Partnerships team reports using Salesforce Developing agendas and planning visits to and events at CMU, in other cities, and abroad Maintaining and scheduling appointment calendars including prioritizing and screening using own judgment Arranging complex meetings and special events (internal and external) creating travel itineraries; completing travel expense reports Compiling information, organizing data and producing reports, posters and other documents as needed using complex software packages (Salesforce, Google applications) Composing and editing correspondence Maintaining web pages using web authoring tools and HTML taking and preparing for sharing the minutes of various meetings Managing arrangements for short-term and long-term visitors (international and domestic) Other general office and administrative support as required. Qualifications: High School/GED required; Associate Degree preferred Three or more years senior secretarial or administrative assistant experience, including experience in word processing and spreadsheets, making travel and meeting arrangements, and acting as a liaison for the organization to outside constituents Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving and organizational skills Initiative in anticipating needs Ability to manage and prioritize own time Ability to pay close attention to detail Comfort with computers in general, including ability to effectively and independently learn new software (Google applications, Salesforce) Apple and Windows platforms Ability to understand and follow directions Ability to deal with confidential information Ability to maintain accurate records Ability to operate standard of...
